Maintaining your horse’s dental health is crucial for overall well-being. An unbalanced mouth can lead to inefficient digestion, potentially increasing the risk of colic, and can also cause discomfort or resistance under the bridle due to restricted jaw movement.
We provide comprehensive equine dental care, beginning with a thorough oral examination. Utilizing either a dental camera or a mirror, we carefully evaluate the mouth for any signs of dental or gum disease. Following the exam, a dental floatation is performed using both power and hand equipment to gently reduce sharp enamel points and restore proper balance. For horses with significant dental disease, we offer the convenience of performing extractions in the field.
